Kenya is set to hire 6,000 health workers to help fight the coronavirus outbreak, according to Health Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.
Of these, 5,000 will be deployed to counties, and 1,000 will remain at the national hospitals, Kagwe said at a media briefing on Thursday. “We hope to complete” the hiring “by Wednesday next week,” Kagwe said.—bloomberg.com
