Dr. Charles Lieber, the ex-head of Harvard’s chemistry and chemical biology department, was charged for aiding China by working at a lab in WUHAN. Supposedly unbeknownst to Harvard, he became a “strategic scientist” at WUHAN University of Technology (WUT) in 2011. WUT paid Lieber $50,000 per month, approximately $158,000 USD for living expenses, and awarded him more than $1.5 million to establish a research lab at WUT.
