JUNE 2
(PRIDE STRIPT & WHIPT)
“If men within themselves would be governed by reason,
and not generally give up their understanding to
a double tyranny,
of Custom from without,
and blind affections within,
they would discern better,
what it is to favor and uphold
the Tyrant of a Nation.
But being slaves within doors,
no wonder that they strive so much to have the public State
conformably governed to the inward vicious rule,
by which they govern themselves.
For indeed none can love freedom heartily, but good men;
the rest love not freedom, but license;
which never has more scope or more indulgence than under Tyrants.
Hence is it that Tyrants are not oft offended,
nor stand much in doubt of bad men,
as being all naturally servile;
but in whom virtue and true worth most is eminent,
them they fear in earnest, as by right their Masters,
against them lies all their hatred and suspicion.”
—John Milton—
The Tenure of Kings and Magistrates
(1650)
Bird songs are ringing
on this second of June.
Heaven is singing,
but earth is out of tune.
An army of twisted fags
Parade their shameful flags.
Behold the would-be apex of our deluded species!
The God-born self-identifies by preference for same-sex feces!
Surely the hour is getting late
for Gomorrah’s hunch-backed state
when barren Sodomy is the highest rite we celebrate.
Now we’re due to soon lose our pate!
A blind dog’s spirit, with a taste for old vomit,
haunts the hour like an ill-omened comet.
We have forgotten we were cleansed from our sin.
Old endings lurk where New Life does not begin;
new Life, not old deadly vices renewed with fresh vigor,
but old virtues renewed with stern dead set rigor.
America once officially decreed nationwide days of public fasting and humility,
but now, glutted full with luxury, we boast in our shame up to the limits of our ability
Don’t we, heirs of greatness, have better things to call to memory?
On June second all these things happened, some to shame or glory:
1865 Confederate General Edmund Kirby Smith surrenders his Trans-Mississippi Department to Union forces at Galveston, Texas; he then flees to Mexico to avoid charges of treason
1875 Alexander Graham Bell makes first sound transmission
1896 Italian engineer and inventor Guglielmo Marconi applies for the first ever patent for a system of wireless telegraphy in the United Kingdom
1899 Black Americans observed day of fasting in protest against lynchings
1901 Benjamin Adams arrested for playing golf on Sunday (NY)
1904 Professor Schron finds microbe that causes photosynthesis
1924 President Calvin Coolidge signs the Indian Citizenship Act (also known as Snyder Act), declaring all Native Americans to be American citizens
1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Abbey, London, England
1967 Capitol Records releases The Beatles’ album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” in the US; it is their first album with identical track listings in US and UK, and goes to number one for 15 weeks in US, 22 weeks in UK
1975 VP Rockefeller finds no pattern of illegal activities at CIA
1997 Timothy McVeigh found guilty of 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168
2015 US Congress passes new legislation to reform National Security Agency procedures, restricting gathering of phone records
2022 Queen Elizabeth II marks her Platinum Jubilee with four days of celebrations starting with a military parade at Buckingham Palace
2023 US Army renames Fort Bragg in North Carolina as Fort Liberty as part of effort to remove Confederate names from military bases; namesake Braxton Bragg served in the US Army (1837-56) and the Confederate Army (1861-65)
Much, in the list above, could fuel strong investigation,
or fuel just hearts among us for a long celebration.
But no, those researches and rejoicings we must kill,
to take pride in America’s first sodomite rights bill,
signed by Los Angeles Mayor,
Tom Bradley, in 1979!
For lost Angels, he served as a slayer.
For that, he deserved worse than the worst fine.
What shame, so few school-aged youths now have heard
about the flag commissioned on June third
1776, Betsy Ross,
and how our Theocracies suffered loss
by the Freemasonic Revolution
which Paine hoped would be the dissolution
of national borders around the world,
until each nation’s “battle-flags were furl’d”
in the Beast’s “Federation of the world.”
but June third’s tomorrow. We must be hurled
back to face today’s sourge-worthy date,
and another fact I hate to relate.
On this day was born the Pride Flag’s maker.
Hailing from Kansas, he’s Gilbert Baker.
Woeful day, June 2, 1951,
when the man’s long trek to hell had begun.
Here is a bit of this monster’s dark lore.
In ’70 he was drafted for war,
then, stationed in that sink of sin, San Fran,
grew comfy as an openly “gay” man.
His life wasn’t all sodomy and hugs.
They say that he was addicted to drugs,
and from apartments often evicted…
but that makes sense if he was addicted.
He based his flag on the “flag in the sky,”
but his flag’s cause caused the old world to die:
for perversion in the days of Noah,
and violence, provoked Yah’s liquid shoah.
I find his life like The Wizard of Oz.
After death he must regret his life’s cause.
Though he sought it “when the tornado came”
he’s reduced to whirlpool in hell’s flame!
In 2017, he breathed his last.
How’d his vile blasphemy avoid bomb blast?
Thrice cursed be his foul God-damned memory
which rises no higher than buggery!
