- RESOLUTION: Determination.
- RESOLUTION: the Process of Breaking Things Down into Simpler Forms.
- More Bible, Prayer, & Gratitude.
- More praise of worthy people and purposes.
- More calls to friends and active affirmation of others that I love.
- Less burying my head in a screen in order to avoid human contact.
- More human interaction with immediate neighbors and strangers.
- Less talking about problems.
- More working to fix problems.
- RESOLUTION: the Clarity of Detail Visible in a Digital Image based on the pixel count (pixels are the smallest elements of a digital image).
- Information inwardly forms, deforms, transforms, or reforms us. Digits are numbers; we are digital images: our hairs, days, and tears are numbered by the God in whose image we are made. Information war can pixelate, blur, and deform the very image and being of us offspring of God into children of the devil.

- The old saying is that the Devil is in the details. Satan prowls with growling hunger among the details of the live’s of our little children. If we fail to provide for our families spiritually and materially then we are worse than many godless heathens. May God help all Christian men to walk worthy of the heroic duty called fatherhood.
- RE-SOLUTION: a Return to Old Answers.
In the following, I share some of my particular resolutions, but I also share my thoughts on the spectrum of meanings contained in the word “resolution,” outside the strict traditional sense.
Determination is terminal. First, seek to end in God’s kingdom.
The determined soul looks to the end, intends to pay the full price, to go all the way, to enter the eternal Sabbath rest of Heaven through this world’s life-week of good works. Great souls are determined to only stop at the greatness of their goals. The determined nature of the famous German genius, Wolfgang von Goethe, was nurtured by his father. In his autobiography, he recalled:
“My father was particularly pertinacious on this point of completeness. What was once undertaken must be finished, even if the inconvenience, tedium, vexation, nay, uselessness of the thing begun were plainly manifested in the meantime. It seemed as if he regarded completeness as the only end, and perseverance as the only virtue. If in our family circle, in the long winter evenings, we had begun to read a book aloud, we were compelled to finish, though we were all in despair about it, and my father himself was the first to yawn. I still remember such a winter when we had thus to work our way through Bower’s History of the Popes. It was a terrible time, as little or nothing that occurs in ecclesiastical affairs can interest children and young people. Still, with all my inattention and repugnance, so much of that reading remained in my mind that I was able, in after times, to take up many threads of the narrative.”Truth & Poetry, book 4
Wilhelm Wolfgang Von Goethe
Wise king Solomon said, “Listen to your father who gave you life.” Goethe obeyed, and it only served him well.
We can’t rise higher than Christ and He said: “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (Matt. 4:34). I want to feed on my resolution, to draw increasing strength from it, and win the glorious prize that is only attainable by souls who suffer from the good infection of terminal resolution. To f
I want God to pluck a feather from His overshadowing wings, whittle the false Pinocchio out of me, sharpen my intellect like an arrowhead, pull me back in His bow, aim Me at the goal He has for me, and when I have struck the bittersweet target at the end then I want to say: “I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do” (John 17:4). “It is finished” (John 19:30)!
We must first be finished with our many sins before we can finish our work for God.
If we are determined to enter the heaven of a holy God then we must terminate our relationship with the sins that God hates which destroy us! May His Spirit press this on your heart, and cause you to examine your thoughts, words, and deeds.
Also, regarding my relationship with those who dare to read me (or tolerate doing so), I want to write, edit, and publish more often… [I originally resolved to publish daily, but research takes a toll and 4 days in I’m forced to face reality]
RESOLUTION: the Process of Breaking Things Down into Simpler Forms.
Much of the world is a spiritual, emotional, psychological, material nightmare. Men and leaders look ever more like monsters and they haunt halls of legislative institutions, halls filled with smoke and mirrors, and they write loopholes for their loopholes, fit to hang by. They define and redefine words to fit their purposes that shift with the winds of bribery— all such is a towering Babel of confusion, but the first great lesson for humanity is simple:
Our world is broken in two:
The Knowledge of Good mixed with Evil bears deadly fruit on one side.
On the other, the Tree of Life fulfills man’s most wholesome desires.
Christ is the Tree of Life.
It is all either Good or Evil. In the cosmic equation, everything boils down to addition or subtraction: “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad” (Matt. 12:30). I want my life to be simplified this year, and until I die or see Christ return. How will that look? I expect that to look like me caring more and more about the right of Christ to impose His Law on everything and everyone around me, and less on expert panels, democratic disputes, and the votes of vulgar masses, less listening to people who shouldn’t be talking in the first place: more listening for the Spirit of the Almighty. More listening to the hearts of my family.
More praise of worthy people and purposes.
More calls to friends and active affirmation of others that I love.
Less burying my head in a screen in order to avoid human contact.
More human interaction with immediate neighbors and strangers.
Less talking about problems.
More working to fix problems.
RESOLUTION: the Clarity of Detail Visible in a Digital Image based on the pixel count (pixels are the smallest elements of a digital image).
Information inwardly forms, deforms, transforms, or reforms us. Digits are numbers; we are digital images: our hairs, days, and tears are numbered by the God in whose image we are made. Information war can pixelate, blur, and deform the very image and being of us offspring of God into children of the devil.
I want to see more clearly through the fog of modern information war, with higher definition.
The word definition is defined almost exactly like determination.
The root for the words finish, finite, and final, beats at the heart of the word “definition.” All finite things naturally terminate or come to an end, but material death is not the end I speak of. An ultimate goal or aim is the end I speak of. Sperm ends its struggle in the egg but that is merely where life begins. To aim clearly we must see our target clearly. My prayer for all Saints everywhere is that we mature to focus ever more on our chief end: ie, to glorify God the best we can by enjoying Him as much as we can! If we do this, then even though our days in these bodies on this earth in this age dwindle and terminate, our zeroed out day of death will split like a fertilized egg, and multiply into days without number, in which our liberated souls will grow into ever-dawning godhood, growing into the boundless dimensions of Father God Almighty, He Who loves Himself with perfect love.
Enemies at war are most concerned about defining the terms of battle, in skewing the aim of the foe because victory or defeat is the ultimate end. Christians defeat the ultimate enemy of death in the end by world-conquering faith in the Authority of the Living Savior’s Holy Spirit who inspires that Saving Faith in their hearts by illuminating how worthy of Trust the Words of Christ are. Information about the Good News of death’s defeat transforms their sin-deformed hearts and, since they were graciously washed by the love of God, they wage war on the dirty hateful world by inspiring faith in Christ wherever they can; for all the Law and prophets find their ultimate resolution in Him. He is “the goal of the law for righteousness to those who believe” (Rom. 10:4).
We are at war, like it or not. The Father of Lies is the prince of the power of the airwaves here below. If we aim to “keep that which is committed to [our] trust” then we must be militantly “avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called” (1 Tim. 6:20).
“…[A]voiding… oppositions of science falsely so called”:
Some modern “intellectuals” blur the chief end of man by pushing a theory that says we live in a digital construct, something like a video game for super advanced aliens. This “Simulation Theory” can do nothing more than blur the image of God (on the coin of our being, our inherent worth) and befog the spirit of man in his war with the world, flesh, and devil. It says:
“All computing hardware leaves an artifact of its existence within the world of the simulation it is running. This artifact is the processor speed. If for a moment we imagine that we are a software program running on a computing machine, the only and inevitable artifact of the hardware supporting us, within our world, would be the processor speed…. Even at the most fundamental level of simple operations such as addition or subtraction, the processing speed dictates a physical reality onto the operation that is detached from the simulated reality of the operation itself…. Within the abstract world of programmed mathematics, the processing speed of operations per second will be observed, felt, experienced, noted as an artifact of underlying physical computing machinery…. The observer within the simulation has no frame for quantifying the processor speed except when it presents itself as an upper limit…. The artifact is manifested as the speed of light…. Such a limit would appear in our universe as a maximum speed….”Fouad Khan,

? Must we drudge through all the above in order to arrive at what was said with more beauty and simplicity long ago:
“LET THERE BE LIGHT.”
The article continues:
“Pretty much since the dawn of philosophy we have been asking the question: Why do we need consciousness? What purpose does it serve? …. The simplest explanation for the existence of an experience or qualia is that it exists for the purpose of being an experience. There is nothing in philosophy or science, no postulates, theories or laws, that would predict the emergence of this experience we call consciousness. Natural laws do not call for its existence, and it certainly does not seem to offer us any evolutionary advantages…. The only logical next step is to surmise that this product serves someone else.”ibid
Consciousness “serves someone else”?
The Bible said its more briefly 2,000 years ago, and brevity is the soul of wit:
“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit,
who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,
you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body” (1 Cor. 6:19, 20).
These geniuses have now merely risen to the assumptions of most primitive societies, the axioms of earliest men of culture, even though the floor plans of their homes were drawn in caves along with their art,
Religion’s sound foundation must be laid in
the common sense some things had to begin
and all such things prove with much insistence:
they weren’t the Cause of their own existence.
Cause and effect, in their long progression,
can’t come from an eternal regression,
but a causeless Cause is necessary.
The existence of God is primary.
All non-savage nations hold in their mind
belief in a Creator of mankind.
Human fiction differs from land to land
but in hearts everywhere this Fact does stand:
This basic belief is so extensive
its first parents must have been the first to live.
The atheist does foolishly deface
Reason, which is our greatest common Grace.
Nothing comes from nothing, ex nihilo,
whether in the sky, earth, or sea below.
Mindless nothingness makes no selection.
Natural selection calls for correction.

Intro to his poetized “Way of Life and Death”

The Simulation Speculation’s mad approximation to sanity continues:
“What are the implications of this monumental find? Well, … we must not forget what the simulation hypothesis really is. It is the ultimate conspiracy theory. The mother of all conspiracy theories, the one that says that everything, with the exception of nothing, is fake and a conspiracy designed to fool our senses. All our worst fears about powerful forces at play controlling our lives unbeknownst to us, have now come true. And yet this absolute powerlessness, this perfect deceit offers us no way out in its reveal. All we can do is come to terms with the reality of the simulation and make of it what we can.”ibid
Must we die from lack of oxygen while climbing this mountainous technical guesswork?
Vague thoughts like this pixelate or blur the true image of us human beings. These ideas are themselves “perfect deceit” because the “powerful forces at play controlling our lives” are none other than The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of The Almighty God, who– contrary to such intellectual deceit– “offers us” a “way out” in His “reveal” called revelation: the order of the universe, including the “speed of light”; the virgin birth, sinless life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Christ; and the witness of His Spirit on earth today.
We ourselves reveal God’s glory in our very existence. We are made in the Image of God. Eternity is in our hearts. Only eyes of Faith see the Image of the Invisible Creator, the Character of God whose signature is scrawled all over creation. Only the eyes of the faithful can look with high resolution into the eternity which dwells in their hearts. This is accomplished by the gift of God, the lamp of God, the Spirit of God. The artifact of heaven is seen on earth in our will, intellect, and emotions, as we dominate mindless matter and the lesser minds of animals.
Faithless souls carry lamps at high noon for their hearts are darkened and outer darkness is their doom: it is an eternal darkness that dwells in their hearts, and they dare not analyze it with scientific rigor, dare not peer into it for fear of its predatory gaze piercing their limping hearts. They merely chatter about the speed of light, and die like vain beasts under the sun. God help them! Their theory is little more than a self-wrought conspiracy against their own best interests. They tell themselves “that everything, with the exception of nothing, is fake and a conspiracy designed to fool our senses” when in reality, “It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out” (Prov. 25:2), and no matter how much the Creator is hidden behind the creation, His existence is hinted at enough to provoke our investigation, our study, our desire.
Yet, it may be that just as “all things work together for the good of them that love God and are called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28), that all things work together for the ruin of those who are determined to hate the Truth about His glory that is declared by the “heavens” which “utters speech” “day to day” and “reveals knowledge” “to the end of the world” (Psalm 19:1,2,4).
With that said, I am inspired by the idea of an “ultimate conspiracy theory. The mother of all conspiracy theories, the one that says that everything… is… a conspiracy….” In response to this we could reply,
“This is what the YHVH has spoken to me with a strong hand, instructing me not to walk in the way of this people: “Do not call conspiracy everything these people regard as conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear; do not live in dread. 13 The LORD of Hosts is the One you shall regard as holy. Only He should be feared; only He should be dreaded….”Isaiah 8:11-13
Nevertheless, I like the idea of ‘world-as-conspiracy” but only in its simplest form, where “con” means “together” or “with” and “spiracy” is related to the word “Spirit.” All mind and matter exists because of the Spirit of God which is here with us and, having received the breath of life from God’s Spirit, we are all enjoying the gift of life in our respiration until the day of our expiration.
Life is a conspiracy.
That is one of the greatest and simplest truths
ever to grace the minds of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve.
The old saying is that the Devil is in the details. Satan prowls with growling hunger among the details of the live’s of our little children. If we fail to provide for our families spiritually and materially then we are worse than many godless heathens. May God help all Christian men to walk worthy of the heroic duty called fatherhood.
RE-SOLUTION: a Return to Old Answers.
“This is what the Lord says:Jeremiah 6:16
‘Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls….’
“An astronomer used to walk out every night to gaze upon the stars. It happened one night that, as he was wandering in the outskirts of the city, with his whole thoughts rapt up in the skies, he fell into a well. On his hollering and calling out, one who heard his cries ran up to him and, when he had listened to his story, said; “My good man, while you are trying to pry into the mysteries of heaven, you overlook the common objects that are under your feet.”The Astronomer

“The Present Time, youngest-born of Eternity, child and heir of all the Past Times with their good and evil, and parent of all the Future, is ever a ‘New Era’ to the thinking man; and comes with new questions and significance, however commonplace it look: to know it, and what it bids us do, is ever the sum of knowledge for all of us. This new Day, sent us out of Heaven, this also has its heavenly omens;–amid the bustling trivialities and loud empty noises, its silent monitions, which if we cannot read and obey, it will not be well with us! No;–nor is there any sin more fearfully avenged on men and Nations than that same, which indeed includes and presupposes all manner of sins: the sin which our old pious fathers called “judicial blindness;”– which we, with our light habits, may still call misinterpretation of the Time that now is; disloyalty to its real meanings and monitions, stupid disregard of these, stupid adherence active or passive to the counterfeits and mere current semblances of these. This is true of all times and days.
“But in the days that are now passing over us, even fools are arrested to ask the meaning of them; few of the generations of men have seen more impressive days. Days of endless calamity, disruption, dislocation, confusion worse confounded: if they are not days of endless hope too, then they are days of utter despair. For it is not a small hope that will suffice, the ruin being clearly, either in action or in prospect, universal. There must be a new world, if there is to be any world at all! That human things in our Europe can ever return to the old sorry routine, and proceed with any steadiness or continuance there; this small hope is not now a tenable one. These days of universal death must be days of universal new-birth, if the ruin is not to be total and final! It is a Time to make the dullest man consider; and ask himself, Whence he came? Whither he is bound?– A veritable ‘New Era,’ to the foolish as well as to the wise.”

2 Corinthians 5: 17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Now all things are of God,
who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ,
and has given us the ministry of reconciliation…”
What has been is what will be,
and what has been done is what will be done,
and there is nothing new under the sun.
I turned to consider wisdom and madness and folly;
for what more can the king’s successor do than what has already been accomplished?
Whatever exists was named long ago,
and what happens to a man is foreknown;
but he cannot contend with one stronger than he.
